The Council of the Wise - On Togetherness

The subtitle of the programme was: "Live transmissions of the words that never happened". Through quotations from famous personalities, mostly from the field of literature and philosophy, these personalities, performed by leading actors, answered the questions of the audience. Texts that otherwise could not have passed the censorship in their time were thus put on the air. The programme was created at the beginning of 1964 in the then editorial office of Aktualit a Interesosti. Its author was Dita Skálová, who compiled the thoughts of famous world thinkers into fictional conversations about contemporary problems. This time on the topic: On commonality. The last episode of the irregular series was filmed in September 1968, after the August occupation, so the topic of the debate is very fitting.
