The Cleaner

Bertram lives with his mum, who works as a waitress. His father is serving a life sentence for murder. One day, on a whim, Bertram steals a leather jacket from a restaurant, not knowing that this single act will have fatal consequences.

Investigator Roland Benito and a colleague are sent to deal with a noise complaint. As they pull up to the building, they witness a man jumping to his death from a fourth-floor window. It turns out that the man is a guard at the local prison, where an inmate has died under suspicious circumstances. Is this a suicide, or something more sinister?

Anne Larsen, a journalist for a national news channel, starts looking into the case. Everything seems to be connected to one prisoner – Patrick – who is serving a sentence for killing his own infant baby. As more mysterious deaths pile up, and a Supreme Court judge disappears without a trace, Roland Benito and Anne Larsen team up in search of a link. That link turns out to be Bertram and the stolen jacket, and now Anne's life is on the line as well.
