The fourth book in a series of historical mysteries set in Great Moravia. The story begins in 866 on Veligrad. The merchant Boyata has just returned from Reims and brings a letter to the surprised Slavomir asking for help from the Bavarian King Carloman. Counterfeit denarii are found in Reich, which are probably imported from Moravia. Slavomir doesn't want to believe it, because coins are not minted in Moravia. But he promises to help. Then, when he accompanies Constantine and Methodius to Nitrava, he comes across slaughtered merchants and fake silver coins...
