The case of the fake player

Professor Hudeček, a fine arts expert, is found dead in his car at his cottage near Čerchov. Everything points to him deliberately poisoning himself with exhaust fumes, but the forensic doctors prove that Hudeček was murdered. Is his death connected to his appraisal of an unsigned painting of a man at a table with cards, which could be a previously unknown work by the famous painter Jan Zrzavý?
The investigation is entrusted to Captain Kamila Vernerová, and she is once again assisted by her partner, surgeon Michal Kamenik. There are many suspects, and paradoxically, another murder gives the investigators a clue.
