From 1992–2003, Ladislav Špaček worked as the spokesperson for President Václav Havel. In his book, he reminisces about the years spent alongside Václav Havel, the experiences from the president's many foreign trips, his relationships with world statesmen and politicians, domestic travels, the relationship between V. Havel and V. Klaus, Havel's battles with illness, both of the president's wives, and the president's relationship with the media. The book is accompanied by unique photographs, some published for the first time, by the "castle" photographer Karel Cudlín.
