Tatra 111

The publication is devoted to the legendary Tatra 111 truck, its construction, use, type derivatives and some superstructures. The Tatra 111 was used extensively in the army, in the German and especially in post-war Czechoslovakia, but also in the civilian sector, where it proved to be a great workhorse that essentially built socialist Czechoslovakia. Although the T 111 did not provide drivers with any great luxury in terms of working environment, most of them remember this car only in good memories and there are legends about its capabilities. The book also includes other Tatras whose construction used components from T 111, i.e. Tatra 141 and Tatra 147.
The reader will find interesting information about some of the superstructures, both the widely used ones and the less known ones. For the sake of completeness, information on the use of T 111 engines in other means of transport (railway) is also given. One interesting feature is the Tatra T 400 trolleybus, which was built on the chassis of the Tatra 111.
