Talking Medicine 2: Case Studies in Czech
The Czech for Medics textbook is a loose follow-up to the publication Talking Medicine. It is primarily intended for international students at medical faculties and is based on real case studies, providing an expanded vocabulary and phraseology used in standard medical documentation. The aim is to teach students to understand professional written records so that they can work with them independently, while also providing space to practise the most essential skill: asking questions and understanding the patient's answers when taking a medical history. The book is written in English and is suitable for use during practical training and for self-study. It is supplemented by audio recordings of all dialogues, allowing students to correct their pronunciation during self-study. The book also includes an answer key for the exercises and a Czech–English dictionary.
