Episode 2 of the Harry Hole crime series

The Norwegian ambassador to Thailand is found in a Bangkok brothel. There's a knife in his back and pedophile porn in his briefcase. Panic breaks out at the Foreign Ministry in Oslo because the ambassador had close ties to the Norwegian prime minister. It is imperative to avoid a political scandal.
A drunken Harry Hole with a supply of vitamin B12 gets on a plane to play the role of useful idiot. His task is to solve the case, but at the same time to interfere as little as possible. Harry, however, will not be manipulated into such a role, and so, immediately after arriving in Bangkok, he and his Thai colleague start investigating. It soon becomes apparent that this is not just one random murder, but something is rustling and rustling behind the walls. Something that can't stand the light of day.
