Sustainable development of the territory

The book deals with sustainable development of the territory and its context, in particular its relations to spatial planning, regional development, environment, economy and society. It explains the historical origin and development of the issue and its close connection with the development of society. It assesses the state of implementation of sustainable development in the Czech Republic with emphasis on the area of spatial planning. Appropriate examples from practice are used extensively to illustrate the point, and the author's own conclusions on possible approaches and solutions for sustainable development of the area are consistently presented.
