What all keeps a man alive...
There are three. At first, the children. The world is in balance. Later, everything will change. She loves one of them, they both love her.

It is only during the German occupation that Zuzana begins to grow up. It grows painfully into history and history inscribes itself into it. Because she is Jewish, her fate is predetermined. Transportation. Concentrator.
Zuzana's friends Hanuš and Jan stay in Holašovice. But their paths diverge. After the end of the war, Zuzana returns from a concentration camp, but the losses are greater than she expected. Can she still love after all she's been through? Does he even have a choice?
