After the translation of the book of the same name in 2005, the first original postgraduate interdisciplinary domestic monograph is now available to readers. A collective of more than 70 leading experts, both domestic and foreign, under the editorship of prof. MUDr. Zdeněk Krška, CSc., prim. MUDr. David Hoskovec, PhD. and prof. MUDr. Luboš Petruželka, CSc. a completely unique textbook, which covers in 42 chapters the entire breadth of the field from both surgical and oncological perspectives. The full-colour, richly documented publication contains 367 photographs, 89 perocuments, 90 graphs and diagrams. The publication was produced with significant support from AGROFERT, AGEL and other entities. The individual chapters deal with the pathophysiology of tumour development, The reader will also find the necessary imaging methods, tumor markers, surgical staging, non-surgical treatment, perioperative management, emergencies and informed consent.
