The first girl is back. The second might not be so lucky… Inspector Adam Fawley returns for his fourth case.
A distraught teenage girl is found wandering in a suburb of Oxford. She tells a horrifying story: someone abducted her right off the street, put a plastic bag over her head, and drove her to a remote location where she was likely abused. Yet she refuses to press charges.
Detective Inspector Fawley investigates the case, but he can’t do much without her help. Is the girl hiding something, and if so, what? And why does Fawley have the nagging feeling that he’s encountered a similar case before?
Then another young girl disappears, and he has no choice: he must confront his own past and his uncomfortable doubts. Can he stop the violence in time?
