When the mysterious Michael Dabert is given a commission - the protection of Solange Blanchart, the attractive young wife of a missing businessman from Cannes - he accepts, even if her fears seem unfounded. Yet an attack on her person, in which people die, occurs and the circumstances are more than suspicious. Meanwhile, he is asked by his former boss to help protect the VIP family of a Russian scientist. Dabert refuses at first, but when their ten-year-old Alyosha is kidnapped, events take an unprecedented turn. It is the end of November and in the stormy waves of the Adriatic and Mediterranean, on the Croatian islands, the coast of Italy, Corsica and France, the hunt for life and death begins.
