Stress functional diagnostics in sport

The publication is comprehensively devoted to the methodological basis of functional stress diagnostics in sport and practical application of aerobic and anaerobic stress tests in athletes of different specializations. The main part of the monograph presents original data from the stress testing of Czech athletes and female athletes of high performance in a number of sports disciplines. Based on a critical analysis, the selection of physiological parameters and the choice of diagnostic procedures relevant to individual sports and sport disciplines are discussed. The results of comprehensive aerobic and anaerobic exercise diagnostic programs targeted according to sport focus can provide such high quality feedback information on the effectiveness of previous training in areas of different functional and metabolic capacities relevant to specific sport performance.
