Tragic events test the mettle of Ally, the second of the seven sisters
The gripping second installment of the historical-romance series about the incredible fates of the Maia half-sisters, Ally, Star, Cece, Tiggy, Electra and Merope is based on the mythological story of the Pleiades, seven sisters, which Zeus placed in the sky in the form of a brilliant star cluster.
Second sister Ally D'Appliès is preparing for one of the most dangerous sailing races when she receives news that her adoptive father has died suddenly. She rushes to the family mansion on the shores of Lake Geneva, where she learns that the father, a mysterious billionaire, has left each daughter a thrilling key to the secret of her true origins. At first, Ally doesn't really have any desire to search for her origins, as she has truly fallen in love for the first time in her life. However, her love for Theo is marred by a tragic event.
Rather out of sadness and desperation, she decides to follow the footsteps of her ancestors, which lead her to Norway. There, Ally begins to discover her roots and discovers that her story is undoubtedly linked to a young unknown singer, Anna Landvik, who sang the iconic works of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg at a Peer Gynt premiere over a hundred years ago.
