Spirituality of the Heart
A classic work of spiritual life by the French Jesuit Louis Lallemant (1588–1635), which is similar to Jean-Pierre de Caussade's book, Abandonment to Divine Providence. Louis Lallemant is often ranked among the important commentators on the mystical authors Teresa of Ávila and John of the Cross. The Spirituality of the Heart organises the fundamental themes of daily life: a deep trust in the movement of life and the creative presence of the living God, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the importance of the so-called second conversion—the turning of a person towards freedom.
