My Journey to a Child
"Everyone knows a couple who's trying for a baby and not having much luck, right?"
Every month you hope you won't get your period. You keep seeing nervous women in toilets in films, clutching a peed-on pregnancy test and then wanting to jump off the balcony when they find out they're pregnant. The bitches. It feels like the whole world is pregnant and has conspired against you.
Can I really not have children? That's what I asked myself sometime around 2016. Should I count my fertile days? Should we go to a fertility clinic? Should I send my husband for a sperm test? All this was going through my head. And now, after all these years, it's going through this book.
