Sons of the Night

A gripping historical fresco about the events of the 20th century that were deliberately concealed for decades

St Petersburg 1917. Two brothers on opposite sides of the revolution. One believes enthusiastically in the new order, the other sees it as a tragedy. When the first shots ring out over their hometown and a red wave floods the streets, not only the map of the world changes, but also the fate of the two brothers. While the former is helping to build the Soviet Union, the latter is fleeing to Europe, to the newly formed Czechoslovak Republic. Are the brothers' lives forever divided, or can their paths cross again in times of war, famine and political purges? Decades later, in a run-down St Petersburg apartment on Kazanskaya Street, the doorbell rings and the door opens. An unidentified man, who looks like someone who resembles the owner of the apartment, enters the apartment when prompted. It is the moment of the last confession of life.
History is not black and white. And the truth? It's written in blood.
