Son Town
A Psychologist Who Uncovers Lies
Kari Voss is a psychologist and a recognised expert in lie detection and body language. Her skills make her a sought-after consultant for the Oslo central criminal investigation department, where her father, a former police officer, is also well known. She has lost her husband, but she has a son, Vetle... or rather, she had one. The boy was abducted years ago, and she has never given up hope of being reunited with him. Now, however, she finds herself investigating the murder of two sixteen-year-old girls whose parents she knows. The brutal crime took place the night before Halloween at a summer residence in the town of Son, a bike ride away from Oslo. There are a number of suspects, and even some of the girls' relatives could have had a motive. Kari Voss eventually identifies the perpetrator, but her story doesn't end there. At the conclusion of this thrilling novel, a glimmer of hope appears that her son Vetle is alive and well. The further adventures and cases of the talented psychologist will be featured in two sequels.
