Social gerontology

The publication provides information on social gerontology for general practitioners, doctors in long-term care, but also for other health and social workers working with the elderly, as well as for the general public confronted with the demands of life in old age. The aim of the monograph is to increase the awareness of the medical public on the issue of social gerontology, about society's relationship with the elderly, integration of seniors into society, improving their status in society, defining their social and health needs in relation to the ageing population, in the context of self-realisation and participation in old age.
