Snitch

The Snitch is the winner of the Norwegian Booksellers Award 2010. It quickly became a bestseller and is often compared to Jo Nesbø's books. The double act takes place in 1960s New York, when Vincent Giordano becomes involved with the infamous Locatelli mafia family. He goes through the baptism of fire and does their dirty work for them, like their faithful dog. A parallel story takes place in the present day in Fredrikstad, where the richest local man has been killed. There is no doubt that this is a murder for finance. From Kripos (KRIminalPOlitiSentralen, Criminal-Police-Central) comes young superintendent Anton Brekke to lead the investigation. Fresh, brash, rude, with a weakness for women and a secret passion for poker. His colleague is a young police student Magnus Torp, and together they set out to untangle the complex web of events until the cunning finale.
