Don't be afraid to read aloud! The Silent Pedalling Kingdom was written by Zdeněk Svěrák in the 1960s as a radio fairy tale. It was deleted in 1968 as undesirable. Its content was all too reminiscent of the situation in Czechoslovakia at the time. The fairy tale tells of a strange kingdom where one is not allowed to speak out loud. Those who violate this ban go to jail thanks to Špicl. We believe the story still has something to say today - not only to smart kids, but also to their smart parents.
