Silent dolls

When seven-year-old Penny vanishes in the Appalachian Mountains, Detective Ellie Reeves knows she is racing against time – a fast-approaching blizzard threatens to wipe out all traces. FBI Agent Derrick Fox joins the search, driven by the memory of his own sister, who disappeared in the exact same area twenty-five years ago. Could the two cases be linked? When they discover child remains buried alongside a hand-carved wooden doll, they realise a serial killer is roaming the woods. As temperatures plummet and shadows deepen, can they find Penny alive, or will the mountains claim her forever?
