She went off into the darkness
A mystery detective thriller set in the English countryside
A pilgrimage came to town - and a girl disappeared. One summer night in 1994, sixteen-year-old Flora Powell disappeared without a trace in a sleepy seaside town. Twenty-five years later, Flora's sister Heather walks into a stranger's house and murders two people in cold blood. The case will be brought to the desk of journalist Jess, but this will not be a job like any other for her. The Powell sisters used to be her best friends, until that summer when everything went wrong. So Jess returns to her hometown to cover the case. Little does she know that by searching for the key to both mysteries, she is putting herself in danger...
