The monograph deals with erectile and ejaculation disorders, frigidity, anorgasmia and vaginismus. The author analyses the organic and psychogenic causes of these disorders and presents the principles of their treatment with a thorough review of pharmacotherapeutic methods (including intracavernous injections, Viagra, Cialis and Levitra for erectile dysfunction) and with a special focus on psychotherapeutic methods. Special attention is paid to sexual training of the partner couple. Presents findings from systematic couples sex therapy with nearly 200 married couples with various disorders. It emphasizes the cognitive, communication and behavioral components of therapy, but also pays considerable attention to emotional experiences and their disturbing and positive effects.
