Seven square meters

Corruption, drugs, maybe even murder? This was certainly not the ending that the arrested Commissioner Carl Mørck expected...

This Christmas, the famous investigator from the Copenhagen police's Special Branch Q will certainly not forget. Instead of enjoying some well-deserved time off with Mona and his daughter after he and his team crack another case, he is taken from his home in handcuffs and charged with several serious crimes. Longtime colleagues on the force, including the head of homicide, are suddenly no strangers to him, and he can only rely on those closest to him. However, they have no time to waste - every day spent behind bars carries the risk of a known criminal being attacked by one of the prisoners, especially when an outrageously large bounty has been placed on his head in the underworld. Who set this deadly trap for him? Can Rose, Asad and Gordon save their friend? And what role does an old case of a series of nail gun murders, in which Carl's former partner Anker died and another of their associates ended up in a wheelchair, play in the whole affair?
The long-awaited finale of the Danish crime series about the Q Department cases, which includes ten novels and has already been adapted into five films.

They wrote about the book:

Since 2007, a series of thrillers about Carl Mørck - an investigator of the Copenhagen police's Special Branch Q - and his Syrian assistant Asad has been conquering the world bestseller lists. In the tenth, breathtaking and suspenseful case, the two become entangled in a web of lies and secrets. Epic series finale.

Jussi Adler-Olsen plays with the details, doses the plot with pleasure and slowly connects the pieces of the puzzle at the end. The plot of the book is complex and well thought out to the smallest detail. Few authors manage to create such a tense atmosphere.
