Selected chapters in orthopaedics and traumatology for medical students

The scripts are intended for medical students and contain an overview of basic information on the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment of developmental and acquired orthopedic diseases, including musculoskeletal injuries. They also include an overview of basic conservative and surgical procedures used in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal traumatology in adult and paediatric patients. The scripts were created as an aid to prepare for the state final examination in surgical fields for students of the 3rd Medical Faculty of Charles University, therefore the individual chapters are arranged according to the questions from the "basket" of Orthopaedics and Traumatology used in this examination. Nevertheless, we believe that the scripts can also help students of other medical faculties of Charles University to easily and quickly understand the whole spectrum of orthopaedic diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.
