Oldřich Čálek's last, unfinished work, Scientific Psychotherapy, is a return to the roots of psychotherapy and the essential understanding of man, which stems from Being itself and therefore transcends the realm of science. The book also includes interviews in the section “Being Yourself,” in which Čálek talks about his life, his journey to Daseinsanalysis, and his faith and philosophy. Oldřich Čálek was actively engaged in dialogue with Daseinsanalysts around the world, nurturing this dialogue and introducing global Daseinsanalysis to public awareness through his translations. The publication concludes with a feature on Čálek's life and work, along with a selection of his correspondence with friends and leading Daseinsanalysts.
