Sanatorium: A place of buried secrets
An imposing hotel half-hidden in the woods and shadowed by the menacing mountain peaks of the Swiss Alps, the renovation of a former tuberculosis sanatorium is the last place in the world Elin Warner would want to be. But many months ago, she took an unpaid leave of absence from her job as a detective, so when her brother, Isaac, who she hasn't seen in years, and his girlfriend Laura ask, to celebrate their engagement with them at the hotel, really has no reason not to accept this invitation. Elin arrives just as a particularly large snowstorm is approaching.
Although the hotel is beautiful, Elin feels a tension at the first sight of it, because there is something about the building that makes her nervous - just like her brother. And when she wakes up in the morning to find Laura missing without a trace, Elin's concern intensifies.
