Salt of ancient tears

An original adventure story full of suspense and romance

In the Middle Ages, the Greenland Vikings suffered a catastrophe that has not been fully explained to this day. Their entire population of several thousand suddenly disappeared, leaving only abandoned dwellings and fields. It is one of the great mysteries of human history that has never been reliably explained.

Oslo, present: Two strangers, lonely, not fitting into the contemporary world, haunted by strangely vivid nightmares. Julia is a woman with a fear of commitment. Magnus is a man who can't make up his mind. Their fates suddenly intersect when the ancient Viking symbol of the uroboros, a snake eating its own tail, leads them to the door of the mysterious healer Leonard Koll.

Koll, through an unusual combination of acupuncture and hypnosis – old Tibetan techniques of Wind in the Blood – will help reveal their past life in medieval Greenland and find a starting point for the present. A journey into the harsh and cruel Viking Age will show them their true selves and help them discover the origins of their dark fears and feelings. But the cathartic experience is not only connected to events in their current lives, it also uncovers the veil of an ancient Greenlandic Viking secret and reveals the fateful connection between two desperate souls.
