Russian House
A five-part reading from the novel by Ota Filip (9. March 1930 Slezská Ostrava - 2 March 2018 Garmisch-Partenkirchen) brings a distinctive and intimate view of two important personalities of world painting, Vasily Kandinsky and Gabriela Münter, during their joint stay in the Bavarian town of Murnau, the former home of the writer Ota Filip. Murnau's "Russian House" refers to the villa where Vasily Kandinsky, considered the founder of modern abstract painting, and the German expressionist painter Gabriele Münter lived and worked together from 1908 to 1914. The novel depicts the several years of dramatic coexistence between these two great artistic personalities, which, according to the author, resulted in the birth of abstract painting. It reads: Norbert Lichý.
