Roman Ráž: Hands above water

After a prison car crash, a convict and his guard find themselves in a raging river. Is it always one's duty to help one's neighbour, and for whose life is it worth risking one's own? The experimental text is a reconstruction of a dramatic event in which a convict and his guard find themselves in a stormy river after a prison car crash. And it raises disturbing questions about the value of human life, the laws of humanity and the meaning of heroism and sacrifice. The radio production was directed by Jan Fuchs, starring, for example, Ilja Racek, Jaroslav Satoranský, Josef Kemr, Otakar Brousek st., Rudolf Deyl, Pavlína Filipovská and others.
