Rockeries in the modern garden

The richly illustrated publication is especially dedicated to beginning rock garden enthusiasts, who should find it easier to navigate the wide range of plants. However, even experienced growers can find new inspiration and perhaps even get acquainted with species they have not yet experienced. Thematically it is divided into two parts. The first one mentions the characteristics of rock gardens, their distribution in nature and also the basic requirements in culture. There are also chapters on rock garden construction and the selection of suitable stones and substrates. The second, more extensive section is devoted to specific genera and species of plants suitable for rockeries. It is designed to provide basic information on the widest possible range of rock plants, even those that are rather new to the culture or tend to be neglected in the literature. The basic requirements of plants, the possibilities of propagation and the origin of plants in nature are presented.
