Revolt of the Goliards brings another historical detective story
The year is 1261. Premysl II. Otakar will support his rival Richard of Cornwall in the struggle for the throne of the Roman king against Alfonso of Castile, and in return is promised the majesty of the Austrian and Styrian fiefs. But there is nothing in diplomacy as it might seem at first sight.
Oldřich of Chlum leaves with several important noblemen for Aachen in Germany on a secret mission. Soon after his arrival, the Emperor's chamberlain and personal friend Richard of Cornwall is murdered. The Czech nobles are accused of the murder and imprisoned. In addition, there is a riot in the town, led by the pupils of the local cathedral school, wandering vagrants called goliards. Everything is left up to Squire Otto.
