Relations between Czechoslovakia and Hungary in the years 1918-1939
The monograph Relations between Czechoslovakia and Hungary in the years 1918–1939 reassesses the perception of the main political and cultural-social tendencies of interwar relations between Czechoslovakia and Hungary and brings a new approach to examining the forms, shapes and perspectives of relations between the two countries. Attention is paid primarily to the internal level of the Czechoslovak-Hungarian relationship, i. e. the attitudes of Czech society towards the activities (political and non-political) of the Hungarian minority society living on Czech territory and their evaluation. This perspective of looking at the mutual relationship shows diametrically opposed views in the monitored period in terms of the evaluation of the official and hitherto little-known unofficial relations of these countries – or rather, Czech and Hungarian societies.
