Red Dragon
The audiobook Red Dragon, written by Thomas Harris, translated by Alice Nellis. Read by Jaroslav Plesl, directed by Daniel Tůma.
Hannibal Lecter #1
Francis Dolarhyde works in a film laboratory and comes across to those around him as a hardworking and withdrawn person. But Francis is a physically scarred madman. He methodically selects happy families, whom he then brutally, thoughtfully, and without a trace murders. He uses the mutilated bodies for ritualistic, mystical purposes. He lives under the delusion that he is the Red Dragon from William Blake's painting. The sadism of the deranged mass murderer shocks and terrifies the public. Will former FBI detective Will Graham be able to stop this exceptionally dangerous man from committing his violent acts?

JAROSLAV PLESL
A graduate of JAMU in Brno, a member of the Dejvické Theatre company since 2001, and the winner of the 2007 Alfréd Radok Award for his role as Mahon in Synge's The Playboy of the Western World, he is one of the most sought-after actors of his generation. The wide range of his expression, which allows him to take on roles of villains and manipulators, has been utilised in feature films such as Rules of Lies, Grandhotel, Men in Rut, The Greatest of the Czechs, Dreamers, Rascals, Four Suns, Delight, Krásno, Quartet, Smiles of Sad Men, and many more. Television audiences have appreciated both his comically convincing creations in the series The Fourth Star, Autobazar Monte Karlo, and Dubbing Street, as well as his full-blooded characters in the historical series Crime in Polná, The Crimes of Greater Prague, Bohéma, The King of Šumava, and The Golden Swan. As the host of the documentary series The Shields of the Czech Kingdom, he also demonstrated a deep interest in history. His portrayal of the gravedigger Olin in the film Nowhere in Moravia earned him the 2014 Czech Lion for Best Supporting Actor.
