Reckless

The Kingdom of Ilya has just put down the Resistance uprising, but peace has not prevailed. Paedyn Gray, belonging to the Ordinary, survived the Purgatory trials and then, who killed the king in self-defense, is on the run from this, in whom she's come to trust too much. Kai Azer is now an Illyrian Enforcer. His brother Kitt became the new king, and he commissioned him to find Paedyn and bring her to him. Kai tracks Paedyn across the dangerous desert of the Burning Place into the bowels of the hostile city of Dor, and deep down he wishes he didn't have to chase her. But in a city where Elites mean nothing, the roles of hunter and prey can easily shift - and the internal struggle between desire and sense of duty can be deadly.
