Reading about Jan Amos

A literary collage of readings from the texts of Jan Amos Comenius. Eleven-part reading performed by Ladislav Mrkvička, Jiří Schwarz, Růžena Merunková and Radoslav Brzobohatý. Who was the one who called himself "the man of desire"? Was he the Pilgrim who visited 31 European cities in the Labyrinth of the World, only to be called back to the house of his heart by the Voice? Was he an ordinary, deeply suffering Mourner, in faithful dialogue with Reason, Faith and Christ? Was he a philosopher? He is best known as an educator - the "Teacher of Nations", who opened the Door of Tongues wide open, who taught a love of books, that he wanted, to make schools a place of humanity, not mental and physical torture.
