Puppy, Hippo and the poinsettia

The little mice, Pip and Squeak, can't wait for Christmas. Their cottage is all clean and decorated, all that's left is to put the Christmas star on top of the tree. When a playful gust of wind blows their window open, it knocks the star to the ground and it shatters, their joy is gone. What now? Could they perhaps replace it with a real star from the sky, which is curiously peeking into their little house?
