
Psychology of ageing and old age
The motto of this monograph is " " Every person is unique. " There is also uniqueness in the style of each of the authors of the large collective, who have come together here to introduce those interested to the breadth of the issues of the psychology of aging and old age, including the context of other gerontological disciplines and questions. The text is divided into six blocks, which cover mainly psychological, but also demographic, social and biological aspects of aging, illness and health. The aforementioned findings reflect current knowledge and are a selection of each author from a very diverse field of theory and practice.
The monograph aims to present a rich picture of the psychology of aging and old age, to encourage readers to have a positive view of aging, and to inspire a professional interest in working with older people. The book is intended for students, but also for psychologists and psychotherapists working with the senior population, as well as other helping professions.
