Psychological aspects of adolescent education

The publication primarily deals with the process of socialization and the development of social skills of adolescents in the secondary school environment. In this context, it also focuses on the motivation of secondary school students to do school work, interaction with peers and teachers, the occurrence of risky behaviour in school and its prevention. The presented information is based on contemporary domestic and foreign research and current practice of secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The publication is intended for students of teaching and teachers with a focus on tertiary education. It can also be used by students of psychology and education who work with adolescents. Last but not least, it is useful for counsellors working in school counselling centres.
