The processes of learning and teaching are much more complex than originally thought. However, it is necessary to know their regularities and to learn how to use them effectively in pedagogical practice. This modern publication by experienced educators analyzes the mechanisms and types of memory, the physiological factors that influence the process of memorization, and the relationship between memory and learning. Furthermore, the authors deal with learning styles, the issue of individual characteristics of the learner and didactic reconstruction (didactic transformation of the learning material, bringing the learner's internal knowledge systems closer to the current state of knowledge).
