Prey and spoils 1395

Jan Sokol from Lamberk and Hynek Suchý Čert from Kunštát and Jevišovice became famous as outstanding soldiers during the Moravian Margrave Wars. But there were also robber knights for whom the law of the land meant little. They met for the first time in Bíteš, where supporters of Margrave Jost imprisoned their relatives. By their courageous attempt to free their friends, they not only pitted the men of Joste Luxemburg against each other, but also antagonized the powerful Knights of the Teutonic Knights. Thus began their joint story of cruelty, bloodshed and intrigue against the backdrop of high politics.
