The first part of a four-part fresco about the life of the last Přemyslid kings

The historical saga begins in a Bohemian principality torn apart by family feuds, where the young Přemysl Otakar I takes over the reigns. He gradually consolidates his power, gains foreign allies, and wins the royal crown for helping the emperor. He gets into a dispute with the Church, is put under curse by the Bishop of Prague, but reaches a reconciliation with the Church and militarily invades Austrian lands. His political successes opened the way for the Bohemian kingdom to become one of the European powers of the 13th century.
