Practical Atlas of Acupuncture
The practical atlas of acupuncture is based on the new WHO nomenclature of acupuncture points with official Czech names. Author, professor MUDr. Ing. Petr Fiala, Ph. D. D., FIACE, is a recognized leading Czech acupuncture expert who heads the Department of Acupuncture at the IPVZ. The names of the points and paths already match the new international nomenclature of diseases of the WHO, ICD-11, which was published in 2011. 2023 is also published by our ÚZIS; translation of chapter no. 24 was led by prof. Wallflower. In addition to their new Czech translation, all points also include their interpretation and, where applicable, the circumstances of their origin. The book contains dozens of photographs with the exact location of the points, an anatomical description of their location, as well as a detailed way for laypeople to find them. A number of tables and diagrams also help to navigate the issue. For each point, detailed indications are given according to both Western and traditional Chinese medicine. Finally, recommended combinations of points in the most frequent indications and diagnoses are listed for each pathway.
The Practical Atlas of Acupuncture is intended for doctors interested in acupuncture, but e. g. also for physiotherapists who use acupuncture points.
