Tales of the White Lady I - Perchta of Rozmberk

We are one of the countries that have many good scarecrows. And when the White Lady is mentioned, many of us shudder pleasantly at the thought of this good spirit. It can be said that this lady belongs inseparably to a number of domestic castles and chateaus. She was in a movie, plays and puppet shows were written about her, became the subject of novels, short stories, rumors, poems and songs. The most famous White Lady in our country is Mrs. Perchta of Rožmberk. It is no coincidence that the tales about the White Lady began to be selected, prepared and filmed by the actor Antonín Kaška, who for more than 20 years ran Night Tours with the White Lady at the castle and chateau in Jindřichův Hradec. On the recording you will hear the most famous tale about the White Lady, from the pen of Alois Jirásek.
