Playful with IKEA

In this book, popular DIY influencer Luisa Ehlgötz, known as “schereleimpapier” (“scissorsgluepaper”), will show you how to turn ordinary decorations from IKEA into eye-catching pieces that will adorn your home.
With a few simple steps, typical furniture pieces like the KALLAX shelving unit, IVAR cabinet, NOLMYRA armchair, or GLADOM table are transformed into stylish furnishings. The ideas range from plant decorations, candle holders, and vertical herb shelves to alternative advent wreaths and calendars, floral lamps, creative light decorations, all the way to side tables, seating, a decorative fireplace, or storage furniture such as chests of drawers, shelves, and small cabinets. For some projects, you will only need glue and spray paint; for others, a cordless drill or a sewing machine. The author explains everything step-by-step and clearly, so even a beginner can get started right away. Get inspired by the refreshing mix of “boho and Nordic style”. You’ll be amazed at how even a RÖDEBY tray can enhance a cabinet door!
