Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian
Half-boy... half-god. Altogether Percy Jackson
My name is Percy Jackson... My sixteenth birthday is approaching. But in Camp Half-Blood, we're not preparing for a party; we're preparing for war. And instead of birthday wishes, I've heard the ancient, dark prophecy that everyone has been keeping from me for so long. The battle that could mean the end of the world will begin quite innocently, when the mythical horse Pegasus lands on the bonnet of my car...
Will it finally be revealed who stands on the side of good and who has joined the lord of darkness? Who will not survive the war, and who will emerge as a hero?
The fight to save civilisation begins!
Rick Riordan
Born in San Antonio, Texas, USA. For many years, he taught English and history at a secondary school in California. He would tell his son, Haley, stories from Greek mythology, who then asked him if he could come up with something new with the same characters – and so the five-part series starring Percy Jackson was born, for which the author won numerous literary awards. His other series draw on Egyptian and Norse mythology, for example. Riordan's books have been translated into more than forty languages.
