Pascal
To get started with programming, you have the right book in hand. It is intended for complete beginners who know how to use a computer but have never programmed. You will find a course in the Pascal programming language, designed by prof. N. Wirth specifically for teaching programming, but in which many commonly used applications have been written. At the beginning we will explain some necessary terms and then we will write the first program. We'll learn how to translate it, how to run it, and how to debug it - that is, how to find and fix bugs in it. We will gradually get acquainted with all the basic constructs of the Pascal language, such as commands, data types, subroutines, etc. We'll also get into the basics of object-oriented programming, without which we couldn't get into creating graphical user interfaces ("windows"). In doing so, we will write some simple but useful programs. If you go through this entire book, you will become a moderately advanced programmer.
