Pain

Commissioner Luigi Alfredo Ricciardi sees the dead. He sees images of criminals and children hit by a carriage. He senses the love they experience and the surprise of the ultimate moment. He feels their pain. He hears their last words. Therefore, he shuts himself in himself and shrinks from other people. However, he also uses his skills with great vigour and catches one killer after another.
However, visions can be misleading. When the world-famous tenor Arnaldo Vezzi is brutally murdered, Riccardi must solve the case in record time as the Duce himself takes an interest. He must not only penetrate the world of opera, but especially the depths of the singer's black soul. Will his skills help him crack the case? Venture into the twisting streets of 1930s Naples and accompany a lonely commissioner on his quest to find justice and humanity.
